In Peru, only 24% of the population trust in their national gevernment. Until 2018, the satisfaction of peruvian citizens with the public health system was the 4th lowest in latinamerica.
I joined Christian Cabanillas, an UX Researcher based in Lima, in 2021 virtualy via Zoom, to support him create a thintank »Public Changers«, a public space where citizens and mainly workers of the public sector could receive workshops and talks on innovation called »Dialogos Públicos«.
This was a volunteering job I took, for me to learn more about UX design and see real cases of what I have read about Service Design in the Public Sector. It was also a very good opportunity to be part of a desginer’s network.

During my time at »Public Changers«, Christian was in charge of connecting and inviting designers and citizens, making interviews and application forms for the online talks. I was in charge of organizing the dates and topics for the online talks, presentations or online-gatherings with expirienced UX Designers, Service Designers and Innovators from the public sector across latinamerica. They shared via Zoom their projects and design processes. We had a wide public, so I had also to select the questions that were more relevant and bringing the talk live to our youtube and facebook channel. Please take a look of our talks: here
I was also involved in researching the topics for future workshops and selected new participants that joined our thinktank. At the end of 2021 I had to leave the group to finish my Master Thesis.
